This policy explains what personal data YourPariksha collects, why, and the choices you have. It is published in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. What We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address, photo (if you sign in with Google), phone number (if you add it).
  • Study data: test attempts, answers, scores, bookmarks, streaks and progress statistics.
  • Preferences: selected target exam, theme choice.
  • Technical data: device/browser type and basic usage events needed to keep the service secure and working.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

We do not sell your personal data. We do not collect payments card details — payments are processed by our payment gateway partner.

3. Why We Use It

To run your account, save your progress and results, show performance analytics to you, provide customer support, prevent abuse of premium content, and improve the platform.

4. Processors & Storage

Data is stored on Google Firebase (Google Cloud) infrastructure. If you purchase a pass, billing is handled by our RBI-regulated payment aggregator; we receive only your name, email and payment status — never full card details.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage for essential things only: keeping you signed in, your theme preference, and security tokens. No third-party advertising trackers are used.

6. Retention & Deletion

Account and study data are kept while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time via the Support page; we action verified requests within 30 days, keeping only what law requires us to retain.

7. Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or ask us how your data is processed — write to us via Support. Parents/guardians may exercise these rights on behalf of users below 18.

8. Security

We use encrypted transport (HTTPS), Firebase App Check, server-side answer protection and role-based access rules so that only you can read your data and only our content team can edit exam content.

9. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced in-app before they take effect.
